Too much dental depression to do a long post today but I do have two links I want to share. One is an absolutely GORGEOUS idea for beeswax ornaments, at http://homemadeserenity.blogspot.com/2009/11/for-love-of-bees.html. I can’t believe how lovely these are. I may have to get a couple lollipop molds for Sunday when I’m doing round two of candle-making. Thanks for passing this on Francesca!
The other link is for the Edible Garden Project, which is a great initiative on the North Shore (of Vancouver). I love its emphasis on education and sharing. Look at http://www.ediblegardenproject.com/ for more ideas on growing new gardeners…
We picked up the candy for the gingerbread house. It’s going to be ridiculous. I’ll make the gingerbread tomorrow night I think, and build the house on Friday. That will mean the kids can help decorate it on the weekend. I’ll try doing those first two steps with them but I doubt they’ll let me do what needs to be done to be honest. Worth a shot though!
The stout has not been made yet due to conflicting procrastination schedules on the homefront. The nights that I feel motivated just aren’t the same nights for Amos, and for now it’s still a two-person job. We are going to get the keg set up on Saturday though. Mark is helping us, for which I am grateful as I am not too sure of my keg connector knowledge.
I’m off to drink Maker’s Mark and eat figs. Happy Chanukah and Advent!
PS my spell check is recommending that I change Chanukah to Changchun. HA!
